Re-registering a coupon should only be used when entirely necessary. Read carefully the instructions below to see if this is what you actually need to do, or ask for advice from the ODIN team at odindevelopers2017@gmail.com
Under special circumstances, you may want to re-use the same coupon to register again.
For instance, if a participant loses their phone, you would want to allow them to continue their participation from where they left off, instead of giving them a brand new coupon.
For this, we allow coupons to be moved into the "re-register" state, which allows another phone (or the same, after a reinstallation), to register using a previously-verified coupon.
To re-register a coupon:
Make sure that the participant is responsive and in agreement with the operation and ready to re-register. Ideally, this is a kind of action you should perform while in the presence of the participant, or on a call with them.
Install/Re-install ODIN: if the participant is continuing their participation from a new device, ask them to install ODIN from the same source they downloaded it the first time. If for some reason they already have it installed, they should first uninstall it, and then reinstall it anew.
Move their coupon to the re-register state, from the Participants page of your study, like so:
Add a caption...
Give the same coupon (either through scanning the QR code or manually typing it) to the participant. Make sure they provide all the required permissions (you can use the Android and iOS installation guides to ensure this). After this, their coupon will automatically be moved backed into the "Verified" status, and they can continue with their participation.
