Each coupon has a status, which signifies in which state it is. When registering a coupon to ODIN, it should normally move from the "Inactive" to the "Active" state. Once the coupon is active, it cannot be reused, unless it's set to the re-register state. This, like other status changes, can be done from the ODIN website, where you can choose between:
Consent withdrawn.
The participant has asked to no longer form part of the study. ODIN will stop collecting data.
Consent revoked.
The researcher has decided to exclude a participant from the study. This option is, in practical terms, equivalent to withdrawing.
Re-register.
When moved to this state, the coupon will be enabled for reuse. This is useful when a participant wants to keep using ODIN but has to switch to another phone (e.g., due to a malfunctioning device), or when the ODIN app was freshly installed on the same device (e.g., after an update).
Changing an active coupon to the re-register state.
