4. ODIN App



Installation

First, you will need to install the ODIN app on your phone if it hasn't already been installed. Here's documentation on how to  Download Android App  and  Download iOS App  .

Registration

On the main screen of the app, the participant can register by typing in a  coupon  from the study.

Consent Forms

If consent forms are enabled, the participant will then see the  consent forms   that you have specified.

Home Screen

Upon completing consent, the participant will land on the home screen. The home screen holds questions that are currently available for answering.

Report Events

The Report Events section contains buttons that the participant can tap to report that a specific event has occurred. Upon the tapping of the button, a specified question will trigger.

Menu

The Menu gives participants access to supplementary sections of the app, including Settings, Earnings, and Contacts.

Questions

After your rules trigger, the participant will get questions that you have specified.

Communication With The Server

  • The phone will upload participant answers and sensor data every 20 minutes.
  • The phone will also retrieve new questions and rules from the server every hour.
  • The app uses HTTPS to communicate with the server. So, the participant's data will be encrypted during transit.
